June 2015 - October 2020

  • Led and built the newly formed fertilizer business Unit at FCL. 

  • Successfully recruited and trained a world-class team that worked collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to develop all the processes and procedures needed to efficiently and effectively run the business, including supply chain systems, contracting, invoicing, prepays, risk management and regulatory/safety support. 

  • Played a major role in securing FCL Board approval for the construction of 3 state-of-the-art high throughput fertilizer terminals in Brandon, MB; Hanley, SK and Grassy Lake, AB.

  • During my time at FCL the volume more than doubled (120% growth) that was handled by Co-op Retails participating in the central procurement at the launch of the department.

  • Headed the development of a professional sales team that integrates culture of planning and sales execution at BrettYoung. Directly oversaw 14 Regional Account Managers in western Canada and northern USA at BrettYoung.

  • While at the organization dollar sales had increased 4X. 

  • Managed the development of BrettYoung’s proprietary Business Planner application.

  • Managed the development of SeedTrack, SeedStore, ConneXion Business Suite and QIS Seed System software product development.

  • Developed and introduced the first real-time, e-commerce, online transactional marketplace (InputPlace) for crop inputs in Canada.

  • Impetus for the creation and development of the AgroManager/NutriManager suite of software programs.  At time of leaving Westco there was 330 installations in retails and 486 registered users.

  • Developed twelve new sales representative positions from scratch at Westco.  Expansion of new sales positions came after thorough evaluation of sales performance and maximum utilization of existing reps in each territory was achieved.

  • Spearheaded the introduction of AgroManager Crop Enhancement Specialists (ACES) in a partnership program with distributors at 20 retail locations across the prairies.

  • Assembled a new sales, service, parts and construction territory team model at Ramboc which focuses on helping core customers build their businesses successfully.

  • Creator of Oceans Alive™, a computer mediated interactive realization training program.
